At DigOpp, we believe our greatest asset is our people. As a remote company, we understand the significance of face-to-face bonding moments. That’s why we plan quarterly get-togethers to ensure we nurture those connections. Recently, we ventured on a retreat to the Smoky Mountains, an occasion made even more memorable by the attendance of our team’s families.
We maximized our three-day retreat, combining work and play. Given our limited in-person time, we prioritized team-bonding activities while carving out time for focused meetings to realign our strategic objectives. Highlights included a family outing at Dollywood, laser tag competitions, go-cart races, (adults-only!) clay pigeon shooting, and savory meals.
Our time was filled with unforgettable moments that we could not have experienced virtually. At one point, a raccoon attempted to gain entry to our cabin. Our esteemed research engineer, Miller, known for chasing down market-anomalies, utilized his skill set, but this time redirected his efforts to chase out mother-nature.
In our company’s life, we have had the opportunity to navigate the highly volatile digital asset market during extreme conditions. This has taught us the importance of cultivating a cohesive and motivated team, where each member’s insights are held in high regard. While the value we seek to provide to our partners may be technically delivered via analyses, code, or portfolio construction techniques, we must have a strong foundation that encourages innovation to continue to provide the highest value possible. Trips like this give us the opportunity to strengthen that foundation.
Stay tuned for more from our future DigOpp retreats.
